Start your day off with positive vibes and energy with this gorgeous, tasty and healthy ‘Zest for life’ shot.

Fresh orange juice is fantastic nutritionally as it contains plenty of vitamin C, vitamin D,  folate, potassium and thiamine (vitamin B1). It also keeps you hydrated and is great for supporting the immune system. The folate and other b vitamins contained within oranges are important for the nervous system and help reduce low mood.

Carrots are fab and packed with carotenoids that give carrots their colour. They are low in calories so a good choice for those watching their weight. Both beta carotene (which is the plant precursor to vitamin A) and also vitamin C found in carrot juice act as antioxidants and protect immune cells from free radical damage

Turmeric (as we have mentioned in a previous article) contains a powerful compound called Curcumin which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Ginger contains antibacterial properties along with anti-inflammatory compounds.

All of these ingredients combined together pack a great nutritional punch that not only provides us with energy, support to the immune system and anti-inflammatory properties too.

How to make your shot: (makes 2 shots)

Peel and chop 2 carrots and 2 oranges along with 1/2 inch of fresh ginger. Place into a juicer/ blender, a splash of sparkling water  and 1 teaspoon of turmeric. Juice and enjoy![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
